Review

I know: I was not very active, but that does not mean, I am not interested in Cambodia or others cultures as well. I followed the current productions very interested, I just had so many things to do :-(

So, what is my conclusion about the course? I enjoyed it pretty much and think it was interesting to get to know how young people on the other side of the world live and what they are concerned about. I recognized, that some things, which are important to Cambodian students are important for us as well, i.e. family, friends or education. Although we live in partly very differing cultures, we are akin to each other.

But there are some questions I would have asked, if there had been enough time:

What do you do in your free time to relax or forget about university-stuff?

What kind of music do you hear in Cambodia? Does it differ a lot from the music we are listening to here in Germany?

In Germany we are often confronted with our history, even though our generation has nothing to do with the cruel things that happened in World War II. Some people in our generation are a little bit annoyed about that. What is the situation in Cambodia?

But the end of the course does not have to be the end of the communication. Maybe someone likes to answer one or two of my questions?

Overall I think this class was an interesting possibility to take a look in the life of other culture’s people.

Finally: My favourite media

After a long time thinking about the topic, I decided to write about TV.

TV

On the different TV channels you can find everything you need to be happy…news, movies, documentaries, TV series and music.

After a long and hard day at university I enjoy lying on my bed and relax while I’m watching DVD or the regular program. Sometimes I invite friends and we’re watching TV together. That’s why I have a “small” collection of DVDs ;-)

Movies and TV in general fascinate me, before I decided to become a teacher I thought about becoming a cinematographer.

Soon our holidays begin and I’m really looking forward to watch some movies on my television!

That's me

I’m Michel and this are my first baby-steps in the world of blogging.

Let me tell you some things about me:

I am 22 years old and study in Flensburg since October 2007 pedagogy for disabled people and theology.

Before studying here I lived in a small town with my family. I have a younger sister and we have a cat, too.

In my free time I like meeting  friends, listening to music, going to the cinema and in the summer laying in the sun :-)

Have a good day!
